Non-woven fabric is broadly defined as a felt-like fabric which is structured by entangling the fibers or filaments in a parallel or negative direction through physical force or resin adhesive agent. Likewise, fabrics such as cotton, viscose rayon, poly, and nylon are suitably produced using a variety of yarns.

For the processing of non-woven fabrics, there are two ways: immersion and dry process. Immersion process, similar to the process for paper,  is a way which the fibers are wetted in a synthetic resin adhesive bottle to be dried and heat-treated afterward. On the other hand, the dry process is progressed by drying the yarn with water or synthetic resin to make into a thin web state.

The production technology of non-woven fabric has developed rapidly in the USA since the 1950s. From then, with the advantage of having not loosened after cutting the edge and having no directionality in length and breadth because of its intertwined fibers, non-woven fabrics have been the third-fabric to be loved for various uses.
